Andalusite

Andalusite is named after the region Andalucia in Spain, where it was first discovered.  Andalusite can range in colour from yellowish brown, orange to olive to reddish brown. All andalusite possess a combination of colours when viewed at certain angles - this is called 'pleochroism'.

Andalusite is known as a meditative and centering stone and is said to encourage balance and moderation.
